I only got a few things since they don't have much of a selection. So I got dg apricot face scrub, covergirl bb cream and LA colors diamond topcoat (has diamond powder in it, I have some touch of diamonds also) and the lighter lol (double pack). I got my cats some food and 2 other things.. So I'm down to 10$ to play with =)

St ives can also cause tiny little cuts and abrasions on your face which can get infected. best used for the body really. they brought out a daily use microdermabrasion scrub and its really good. a lot kinder to the tender skin on your face.

I agree with Pam,
St. Ives Scrubs will damage the heck out of your skin in the long run, it's beads are way too harsh and abrasive for the skin, I have yet to meet a dermatologist that recommends it or a skin esthetician that doesn't cringe at it's name. It's beads are pointed, not round. So, it basically doesn't exfoliate your skin- it scratches it causing micro tears. By scratching it, it creates grooves in it and that makes it allows bacteria to clot and your skin to become more prone to blemishes.
People will always claim that it leaves their skin looking 'Healthy, Glowing, and beautiful'. The reason it appears this way is because they removed a protective layer from their face and the skin that appears is not fully developed. The reason they don't find any blemishes it because they are basically over exfoliating, they are simply scratching the dirt and bacteria from out of their faces and damaging their skin again as they do.
It may seem harmless, but you can end up making your skin a lot worse in the long run. By over exfoliating, you can get a bacteria infection and can even end up with infections on the skin. Some have reported such bad effects from it, like having a cyst that was too infected and big that they ended up having a surgery to remove it.
Even if you don't get a cyst, other problems can occur too ( premature wrinkles, discolouration after continued use). It is best to use an exfoliant with smooth, round microbeads (sometimes even a facecloth is enough) and leave the St. I've's Scrub for your body, and not your face.

I'm thinking of returning it honestly. It was rough on my face. Can someone explain to me exactly what moisturizer does.. (please don't say adds moisture to your face lol) does it make your face soft?

You're welcome!
Honestly if you want to continue using it - do it for your body. For your face anything that uses shells or feels abrasive in generally usually is. Exfoliation is not as physical as people make it out to seem. Your skin actually exfoliates once a week by itself, so it's not the biggest necessity.
Yes Michele, Moisturizer does make your face soft. It helps to prevent dryness and in some cases, soothe and calm the skin that is a bit more problematic. Certain moisturizers are a bit more advanced and add other benefits such as evening out the skin tone, providing a glow, helping with collagen, help with acne and other facial issues.

If you don't really have facial issues (I just have crinkles around the corners of my eyes, what moisturizer would you recommend? I'm trying to get different opinions. I'm just going to bring the scrub back, I don't see myself using it on my body.

If your only concern is just hydration than mostly any facial cream will do just fine.
I have a couple of good ones that add a glow to your skin but that depends on how far you're willing to go with your budget.

Wtf why can't we get snow like that, and you're more South than I am.. Kitty 5-10$ for each (face wash and moisturizer)

I must say, using a washcloth around my nose, forehead and chin (paying closer attention to those areas) makes my skin feel more clean and smooth-which is what I was trying to get with the st.ives scrub lol. thanks again, Kitty! :)
Michele- I know everyone answered you about moisturizer, I just like how youthful my skin appears and also helps prevent breakouts, seems to improve the tone of my skin. I only use st ives moisturizer for now. I'm almost 28, and don't need any extras (yet) and this seems to work just fine for minor facial issues aka just to protect it from harsh elements and future skin issues later :)
