I heard chi is pretty good. The one I had didn't work well with my hair it was a Conair or a Babyliss so please don't suggest those ones.

CHI turbo ceramic flat iron, 1 inch. I heard best about it. :-)

I'm a huge fan of my Chi. It straightens all of my thick, curly/wavy hair in around 45 minutes (I know that's a while, but I'm a perfectionist). It also stays straight for as many days as I go without washing it; I've never had a problem with my hair curling again or the straightening wearing off unless I'm caught in the rain. It's really lovely. Highly recommend. I've had mine for about 4 years now, it's still working beautifully.

I had a Remington one that was my first straightener. I never realized how good it was until I switched to something else. It did barely any damage to my hair! I forgot what the official name was but it is purple, 2 inches wide, and by Remington!

I have a off brand from Sally beauty supply its called generic value products ir something like that. I have had it atleast 5 years now and it still works as great as it did when I first got it!! I love it and it only cost about $40.

I have a Remington Pearl. Gets really hot (450 degrees) in a minute or less. It works so well that it cures my split ends. I got it from Ulta and it was in the $30 range.

I've had a chi for over 15 years, has lifetime warranty, nothing has ever gone wrong with it. GHD's are popular.
