Do you believe that chocolate causes acne?

Read the title :-) I personaly don't because nothing happens to me when I eat more or less chocolate. Say from your experience. :-)

No, it's a myth in my opinion. To have healthy skin you should have healthy eating habits. A chocolate once In a while won't do any harm. But pimples don't come from food, it comes from your body's natural hormones. Your body produces oil (especially on your face) for protection & hydration.

It doesn't. I'd have severe acne if it did cause it, I eat so much chocolate but get a spot like once a month, if that.

I have found that I don't break out from sugary things, but I break out badly from greasy foods! And not just eating them and accidentally touching my face.

Idk. I mean I believe sugar causes acne which is in chocolate. And personally when I eat a lot of chocolate I breakout.

My nana believes that all the processed, artificial, oily food we eat these days is causing such bad skin.. In her day she says, everyone made their own meals from raw ingredients, and now in the present day we have so much crap in foods like emulsifiers, preservatives, colouring, msg, you know the stuff, that it is affecting our skin. My mum is a food technologist and explained to me that in most chocolate there are these artificial ingredients.. But there are some chocolates with more natural and raw ingredients that are better for your skin. Also everyone reacts to those ingredients differently so I guess it's hard to tell.. I personally notice a difference in my face when I eat less processed food.
