I've always been decent in art, so I figure why not try out nail art?
So before I get started, I was wondering what are some nail art must haves?
Are there any brands that you love? (for polish or "tools" used)
Also, what is a base coat?

I'm not sure about the other stuff but a base coat is like a barrier to protect your nails from staining. You might could just use clear nail polish as a base.

For tools I recommend looking on Ebay or Amazon. They are very cheap there. Look for brushes, and dotting tools, and some cute rhinestones would make nail art look great! :)

A good base coat and top coat are a must. Why do all that work to get fab nails and then have it chip off?! And as far as tools go, I got a set of 5 double ended dotting tools, each are a different size. You can make so many nice designs with just a dotter. Have fun!

I suggest asking Olivia S, she has awesome hair and a great GREAT nail artist. She would be perfect at giving you tips on getting tarted.
