@Sidra...saying that using birth control for anything else besides protection from pregnancy is not cool. While I know that is your opinion and you may not agree with those who take it for other reasons...its not stupid. Its called having choice and we need not label other people's decisions as worthless.

For me, birth control helped my acne at first but I guess I've been taking it for so long that the effects wore off or something. I had really bad acne and maybe 2 or 3 months after, my face was CLEAR. I think it really depends on your body. The pill works differently for different people. Prime example, I've been reading the comments on this post and a lot of them say BC did nothing for their boobs. I got on the pill and I went from a 32C to a 34DD!! Did absolutely nothing for my hair though :(

I think the biggest issue here is that if you don't need BC to control birth don't take it, it has a ton of long term side effects and yes I used it for seven years prior to marriage and for the past two years since divorce, but girls, if you don't need it to prevent unwanted pregnancy don't take it. Seriously consist so the other effects it has like increased risk of blood clots, cancers, female issues, etc...

Thanks everyone for the input!(: and you can't really see my acne in pictures... not only that but it's under all the makeup. and acne isn't the only reason I'm on birth c... it's cause my period is extremely irregular lol(:

Yes it depends what you're using. We have here in thr Philippines a birth control pill called Diane. It helps stop pimples and acne. Also some who have used it said it made their breasts bigger. :)
