Coconut oil is a heavy oil and is thicker than most, and I've had this happen to me before too! its frustrating. I found that melting it and mixing it with a few drops of almond (or another such liquid-like oil) it becomes easier to wash out :) (note when melting oils don't put it over direct heat, instead place the container in a bowl of boiled water and the heat from the water will melt the oil) I hope this helps! Good luck :)

I know me too Denise!
Nala. My hair is thick curly but very fine so I should probably use less.

I actually whip my coconut oil into a fluffy consistency then apply. But you should have left it on for longer than 2 minutes to give it a chance to absorb.

Oh alright. I'll have to redo it. I was just nervous it would get greasy haha.

No. Lol you have to actually let it absorb and if you whip it, you won't have to use as much. I use this recipe by beautysplurge on YouTube. But leave it on for at least 15-30 minutes. Then rinse with cool water to seal the moisture in and help close your hair cuticles.

I mix it in with my conditioner. You still get all the benefits of the oil but it's easier to rinse out.
