I've done it before and have used some products for maintaining it.
However, I'd really appreciate any tips or products you ladies use to keep up the vibrancy of red hair. Also, if you could please recommend any good red hair dyes. Thanks! :)

About a month ago I got red in my hair and I love it!! But it washes out pretty quick so make sure you have a good color shampoo/conditioner and whenever you wash your hair use cold water because that won't take the color out as fast. Hope I helped :)

Bree where do you think I could get that? Generally, I got to Sallys Beauty but I don't mind ordering products offline.

You could put a little bit of dye in your conditioner too (:

Thanks Kaite. :) I've heard of that but I've always been skeptical of it because usually when I see that happen it makes the dye lighter so would it make the color lighter?

I'm not sure actually, I haven't done it. I don't think it would though? Sorry!

@Dorothy, I had terrible problems with fading back when I dyed my hair black. here's some tricks I picked up:
- wash your hair in cold water, under the tap.
- wash your hair as little as you possibly can
- wash your hair with a sulfate free shampoo
those 3 little things make a huuge difference (:

Haha no problems :) thank you for the tip anyway!

Thanks Kyra. I think I have yet to try a sulfate free shampoo so I'll definitely look for that.

Just use it as conditioner... I can have my hair dye each 6-7 weeks instead of having it fading out in 3 weeks!!

Oh wow Bree thats such a beautiful color. How much was a tube? of special effects? Which color did you order? And how many tubes did you use? Sorry for all the questions.

Here's the color and the link. We made it work with one bottle but just barely, BUT my daughter has VERY thick hair! If your hair is longer you will need two.
