Hey everyone. So recently I got a rash on my face from putting tea tree oil on it (ugh, apparently I'm allergic). I have what seems like a ton of little bump-like pimples all over my face. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it? Other than hydrocortisone cream which I will start tonight. Thanks!!

Lay off using any cosmetics till the skin calms down. And don't use any skincare products with active ingredients. If you have any honey and oatmeal and plain yogurt throw it all in a food processor or blender. Apply the mixture as a mask. Remove after 20 minutes. This will soothe the skin and assist in healing.

Lay off the makeup for as long as you can. don't exfloiate or super chemically fash washes. aloe vera may help. just be careful with how often you apply. oatmeal works great like Shelley said. and be patient and don't try to use the product again. My skins very sensitive so I've made many reactions. they usually take about a week to two weeks just be patient and try not to itch it, if you do it will spread. I've had a similair rash that you are describing. not fun haha.

Are you using hydrocortisone specifically formulated for your face or given by a derm?

Thanks everyone! @Alyssa- I might take one tonight to see if I can stop the rash in its tracks. Eek!
@Cintya- yes, I did! Apparently it was still too strong for my face (and I was stupid because I had a reaction a long time ago to TTO that I forgot about)
@Shelley- thanks so much for the suggestions. Will do tonight instead of normal cleansing.
@Adaria- thanks for your input! I might buy aloe vera if the rash doesn't go away soon. Yeah I know...so not fun!
@Kitty- yes! It was a prescription from the derm for the same exact issue I had a while ago (on my face, same type of rash). It isn't expired either so hopefully it will do the trick! I've already put a little on and seen some improvement.
Thank you all for your input!! I'll let you know how it goes :)

You poor thing! I bet the hydrocortisone will work perfectly. Def the oatmeal too! I've gotten many of those reactions and the prescription hydrocortisone is awesome IMO. I always have some around. My dr has given me cortisone shots that get rid of it in a day and they are wonderful. I also take benedryl too. It helps. Good luck!
