I know you can buy things to lighten the scars. And to break the habit? I have no clue my boyfriend does it too and I don't know how to get him to stop.

You try this..-> cut lemon into halves n put some honey onto it,n gently rub onto the scars..it will take some time to fade away,but the result will definitely be a positive one..:):) hope it helps.
