How to take those pictures?

Hi, I was wandering how you take those beautiful pictures of your eyes? I tried to take photos of mine but the colors get so washed out and it doesn't look good, even with no flash :(
Any advice, please?

I sit right in front of my window to take selfies & look like a weirdo to everyone outside :P lol but it works!

Haha Maressa I take weirdo selfies at the window sometimes too! You have to get the right light.

Hi Gladys and all!! I sometimes prefer taking pics in flash.. specially if you are going for a party.. it gives a check how it would look at night..
