I need to get a dye out.of my hair it's a dip dye and its fading so I want to get rid of the colour completely and just be left with the bleach blonde underneath. I looked it up and apparently of you put vitamin c tablets that are crushed with shampoo and wash your hair.it gets rid of the dye but the problem is I don't have any how can I make my own.??

I'm no chemist by a long shot but you can buy powdered vitamin c at the health food or vitamin store. You will have to mix it with distilled water and glycerin to get it to completely dissolve. And you must then place it in a dark colored glass bottle so it doesn't turn on you and keep it refrigerated (if it turns brown on you that means it spoiled and you should not use it). I highly advise that you do a patch test on your inner wrist to make sure you it won't cause you massive issues. Not too many people can tolerate vitamin c. And a little goes a long way...powdered vitamin c is some strong stuff so you want to be light handed with it. Start out with one tablespoon mixed with 1/2 cup of distilled water and 1/2 cup of glycerine. Do not apply powdered vitamin c directly onto your hair...it needs to be diluted.

When I use it, I use the powder (Any health food store) and I use about equal parts powder to shampoo. It gets rid of color fast. You want it to be gritty, it's what gets the color out so don't dissolve it or wait to long. You can also mix it with dish soap if it's stubborn color. Put it all over your head and leave in for 20-30 min, rinse out and deep condition.
What kind of dye did you use and what color?
