I love the Matte ones. I have Shameless (matte purple) and Standout (matte red). I like bright, rich colors and both of these are just that. A few weeks ago I bought 2 of the lacquers, Enticing (red) and Coy (a coppery brownish color). I don't really like the laquers at all. I put the both away and may one day pull out the red one. But I definitely love the Matte versions. They wear well and aren't drying. Both the matte and the lacquer have a peppermint scent which doesn't bother me but might bother some.

I bought one of the orange matte ones and returned it an hour later. It clumped into the lines on my lips and made them look so flaky and dry!

(Dianna H) I totally see how that can happen. I usually apply a lip balm (Carmex) as part of my makeup routine and right before before applying whatever lipstick/lip gloss I plan to wear, I blot most of the balm off. With most of these matte lip products, starting with moisturized and exfoliated lips is super critical.
