I have dry, flaky skin, dark spots. and don't want full coverage.. I bought colorstay and I don't love it. its too cakey even though I try to apply very very little. what can you guys suggest?

Well, I have dry skin that has tenancy of beeing flaky, and step 1 is a good skin care routine, otherwise you can have the best foundation in the world and it still won't look as good as it could. But for me, the Lanc?me Teint Miracle is perfect, it has a light to medium coverage, a lot of colours to choose from and it feels and looks like there is nothing on the skin. It is pricey, but totally worth it.
You can also get a bb/cc cream or mix a little bit of concealer in your skin colour with your moisturiser for light coverage and a dewy finish ^^

You try put like a hydrating primer underneath your foundation
smashbox has a great one called the smashbox photo finish hydrating primer I believe
a moutrizing foundation that I hear great things about is the covergirl and olay tone rehab foundation

If you don't want full coverage I definitely wouldnt suggest colorstay! I would suggest loreal tru match lumi. It gives such a beautiful glow to skin! its medium coverage. But If you want light coverage I would go with a bb cream.

Go for a BB cream or tinted moisturizer. BB for the coverage and tinted moisturizer obviously for the moisture factor. Also, make sure you're exfoliating once a week to promote cell turnover.

Philosophy hope in a jar foundation is a hydrating foundation. they market it as basically a foundation thats also skincare because of the benifits it can do to your skin after prolonged use. its spendy and doesn't have to many shades so be sure to be color matched to see if there is a shade that will work with your skin beforehand.
