You can use Pureology (a color care hair product line), and add hair dye to your conditioner. You should also avoid water as much as possible, even in the shower, because water is the most responsible for color fading. Dry shampoo is your friend! I personally like Aveeno's.

What color is it?
Wash your hair with cooler water. It's better for your hair anyways ;) wash your hair a little less. Use dry shampoo to go through that extra day. When it comes to actual shampoo use sulfate free products or products for color treated hair. Things like dandruff shampoo will strip the color so do a bit of research.

Depending on your new color and your natural color... What dye was used... Professional grade vs. box dye.
I would suggest looking into getting either a color-safe shampoo for when you DO was your hair or a colored shampoo. Try to go as long as you can without washing your hair! Dry shampoo is your friend. When you DO wash your hair, use cool water.

Use loreal extraordinary hair oil for colored hair. It works wonders and it's also really cheap. Is has SPF in it to protect your hair from the sun and it nourishes your hair.

Thanks :) my hair has been so many colors..it was black for several years tho, and about 4 months ago I had it stripped to go back to my natural brown. it turned out more of an auburn, and I just now redyed it to a darker brown. I don't want to have to redye it often, because its hard on my hair
