This is the bottom layer of my hair which, obviously, should all be the same length. Too bad I asked the wrong hairdresser to put in some layers :(

Wow I'm sorry =/ I'd get someone to fix that or go back and say something. Mine was (my hair is coarse and gets poofy), I had one put short layers in my hair. I looked like a mushroom head =( glad I was a kid when it happened

Hibz of course I complained!! I didn't pay for the cut which was their way of saying "sorry for destroying your hair." For the rest of my life I will cut my hair myself!

When I was in fifth grade, I went to get just my bangs trimmed, and the lady didn't speak English and obviously didn't understand. She cut almost 14 inches off my hair ( basically boy short). To this day, over 4 years later, my hair is barely shoulder length. I have learned to love my short hair, but I wish my hair would hurry up and grow.

Oh my god I would've flipped! a lot of places offer a free hair cut to try and fix the mistake. the worst thing that has happened to me was the hairdresser's hands were too shaky so she just kept chopping at my hair because she couldn't get it even.

So sorry that happened?! I am a hair artist and from my guess it looks like you got a stylist who was fresh out of beauty school and first time behind the chair.. so sorry:(

About 4 months ago I went to a hairdresser somebody had suggested to me only they had a replacement girl there that ended up cutting my hair. I asked for a trim and by the time I knew it 20cm was cut off my hair, was so upset.

I've actually never had too bad of a salon visit. The people at the closest Regis salon are great and are of a variety of ethnicities so they seem to be good with most types of hair.

Oh the shame of disaster haircuts!
I went in with shoulder length hair, asked for an A-symetrical bob cut like Rihanna. she butchered it so bad.. the only way to fix it was to cut it all off and start over. thank God I can rock short styles, but still, I was growing it out from my Mohawk. that took a year!

The night before I was flying out to New York I went to a salon near my house. My appointment was at 10:30am and until 12:30 when a young lady washed my hair. I sat and wait until 2:45 when I heard the hairdresser say "no I don't deal with African hair". I was only 16 and so shy. I only went in for a wash, colour, trim and blow. I was horrified that she had said that. I was finally seen to at 3pm when the gent coloured my hair. After 45 minutes he washed it out and asked me if I relax my hair coz it was so soft and wavy. I told him that this was my natural hair. After her blow dried my hair he was shocked that it wasn't an Afro like they were all expecting. I had to remind them that not all Africans have hard hair. However, we can't run away from frizzy hair lol.
I left the salon at 4:20 and I still paid. I don't know why but I did.
To be honest that's not my worst experience my other one is one I wanna forgot lol

I'm sorry you guys went through those experiences, my worst experience was just the lady not listening and taking off twice as much which is why if I want a trim I'll say a quarter of an inch so they don't guess how much to take off.

My worst was probably after they cut at least 12 inches of my hair into a cute Bob type but it was a little longer well anyways I cut it off only to donate to locks of love BC I hate my hair short I have a natural wave to my hair so it always looks like a mess short not to mention its really thick...as I was leaving they swept my hair with someone else's after I told them more than once I was donating...I left crying

I had a very similar experience the last time I got my haircut @ Fantastic Sams in Gallipolis Ohio in the WalMart shopping plaza!! The girl jacked up my layers SO bad my hubby & I decided to just shave off that side Skrillex style & its been that way since!! I part my hair on the side & she only cut layers in the fuller side. The side my bangs hang to. The other side & half the back was still almost one length & the other side had tons of layers. Needless to say, rather than have them fix it which the GM offered to fix it himself, we just wanted a refund. See the thing some stylists don't understand besides just being afraid of getting it worse messed up by fixing the mistake, if they fix it, then its going to be even shorter!! Yeah I definitely learned my lesson to get my hair done @ walk in places instead of waiting on my regular stylist to have an opening! Lack of patience effed my hair up! I'm sorry that happened to you! I'd raise Hell if I were you! @ least get your money back!!

LMFAO @Ben! 😂 what did she do to you?! Poor thing :( my worst was when I was blonde, I asked to go back to my roots (dark brown almost black) I had at least 2 in. Of roots so it was obv clear to see the color. I ended up with very light auburn hair! This was years ago before I honed my skills with makeup so I had a very hard time making it work with my BLACK eyebrows and super pale skin :(

My worst was this fancy salon that I used my tax money to go get my hair cut and highlighted at. The guy had a great personality and picked out these great color highlights BUT used some kind of semi permanent glaze stuff to do it, only I had color on half my hair, so it didn't take to that part so much. He said he couldn't tell I had color on my hair? Ok, it was box dye. As a professional you should be able to tell there's color on my hair, especially some crappy box dye. It was so expensive for some highlights that didn't really take. :(
Ben, your hilarious!
