The best for cheaper brushes are the BH Cosmetics brushes, in my opinion, but I prefer the Sephora Brand brushes, because I have the option to only buy the ones that I'll use, as opposed to a set.

I was tired of just have random brushes so I recently bought a set from bh cosmetics and I loveeeee them:) It kind of took me a while to find the right set for me because I wanted specific brushes in the set, but they were cheap, and I really do love them and it came with a case. Now I still have Sephora Pro Airbrush #56 brush and my Elf kabuki brush but its nice to have them all match. I like them so much better than Eco Tools and Real Techniques (they are both really good but I got so many more brushes from bh for about the same price)

I use pink gloss ones, they are great and people compare them to sigma's brushes, but I'm brazilian, so I don't know if you'll be able to find it.. but I love real techniques, and I heard about sigma and mac.

I just purchased a Sonia Kashuk set I'm trying out. Mainly I use a 22 piece set from Coastal Scents. I still haven't used every brush. I have a flatbuki from Too Faced with their teddy bear hair that I adore. I was kind of obsessed with it for awhile, I'm still tossing around buying a set or not. ReaI Techniques are really nice, I only have two ELF brushes but the Kabuki is super soft.

@peyton... You can get ecotools at ulta, Walmart, target, Walgreens, and cvs. Try Walmart first, might be cheapest then ulta because they have that buy one get one 50% sometimes on real tech and ecotools.
