An old friend of mine has asked me to do her makeup for the upcoming military ball, which is on Valentine's Day.
She has extremely small eyes which I am terrified of because I've never worked with such little lid space before.
When I asked her what kind of look she wanted she said "Something really dramatic or really natural. I'm not sure." I laughed out loud, like thanks girl that helps a lot! All I know is that she wants false lashes.
Anyway, any suggestions on makeup looks I can do on her? She hasn't purchased her dress either so I'd have to plan something that is versatile with multiple colors.
Thanks, ladies!

Here's a photo of her to help. I look a hot mess but it's the only one I have where she was actually looking at the camera!

Do a simple Matt skin toned base with a gel wing smudged out with a Matt black shadow😚

This would look nice.

If she has small eyes I would recommend trying to stay away from very dark colours on her eyes since it will make them appear smaller. You could even do a very light colour on the lid and then a darker colour in the crease.

You can try a smokey eye. I have very small hooded eyes myself, and I thought it meant I couldn't do any eye looks. After constantly seeing Jennifer Lawrence rock a smokey eye, it's my new favorite look for special occasions.

She has amazing lips! I'd advice you to go for a neutral looking eye and a strong lip. A brownish smokey eye to match her skintone would be gorgeous, and dramatic red lips.

The picture Lizzy posted would be more realistic to your friends eye shape a smokey eye always look dramatic yet sultry when done right and her lashes will be the drama added to the finish look and for a bit more glitz add some pigment lightly over the lid after you have done the smokey eye. Hope this helps :) or just get a shadow that already has a hint of glitter in it like MAC Black Tied or Beauty Marked.
