I'm new to eyeshadow, and wanted to try something colorful and almost peacock-inspired earlier when I was playing around. I would love some critique and helpful tips on my makeshift look! I know there's a LOT to improve on and would love some of your opinions. Sorry for the horrible lighting in these pictures, I really couldn't get a good one. Also, I'm hoping to wear a similar look to my school dance next Friday because it matches my dress to a T. Should I do it, or should I do something more simple? Thanks ladies!(:

The look is a purple base with teal in the inner corner and an emerald pigment blended between the purple and teal. The purple eyeshadow crayon is also used as a liner smudged under my waterline, and I have the baby blue/teal color on my waterline.

Looks really really good for your first try! Just blend out the crease a little more. Love the lower lashline so much!

I think it looks great for your first one (: I used to wear (literally) rainbow eyeshadow to school, and any other weird quirky thing. I say go for it!! A suggestion would me add a highlight under your brows, but make it subtle so it doesn't clash with your eyeshadow. Try a bolder eyeliner if you would like, and blend the crease a little more (:

Looks pretty nice. I would definitely blend it a lot more and also I would pull the shadow just above you natural crease to give it a more oh Idk... I can't really put it into words but I feel it wouldn't look as juvenile maybe... Also just clean it up and like I said just blend blend blend...

I agree with pulling it up above the crease a bit more, it would give it a nice shadow and blended effect rather than just a thick look.

Thanks girls! I'll definitely try pulling the shadow up and blending it out more next time. Thanks a bunch!(:

You certainly did better than I ever could on my first try! I agree about blending a bit more and into/up the crease. You did capture the idea of a peacock!

Thanks Tina. (: I think I'll stand out in a sea of pink and red dresses at the valentines dance with my blue green dress and colorful eyes, haha.

Looks amazing! I love the color combo. My suggestions are bring the color up just a TAD bit more into your crease and blend it out. Also, watch the fallout, because you don't want your face glittery in flash photography. I use just use some tape to remove the fallout. :)
