So I have fairly medium skin but when I apply my makeup, especially on my eyes it starts to look like I have a mess going on even if my makeup is not smeared. Any suggestions, tips, or new looks?? :)

What do you mean by 'a mess'? Is it patchy? Or rough?

I have the same problem I feel as though my makeup isn't as neat as other peoples and honestly I would just practice paying attention to detail and maybe try using smaller brushes for better control and also know that some pictures of professional makeup are also filtered and touched up but another tip that has helped me is do your eyes first so you can take makeup remover and fix any fallout it smudges or anything then do your foundation. I am no expert though I am also still learning just about everything

Like it just doesn't look smooth.. I think I may just be using the wrong shades on my skin tone

You could be using makeup with the wrong undertones. its subtle but at the same time makes such a difference. But because you originally said its especially on your eyes it could be fallout like brianna mentioned or your skin could be irritated and get inflamed or dry and the makeup shows flakiness. It might help if we had a better description.
