Hi, I need help...which lip liner goes with mac Russian red and heroine? I want it in mac brand and is the mac lip primer worth it? thanks.

Mac makes corresponding lipliners for their lipsticks. :) The lip primer I've heard is good but I don't see a need for it. With exfoliated lips, lipbalm and lipliner, plus a few blots before application, you've got a pretty solid long-wearing lip colour. It's supposedly a pretty good product but it's not necessary in my opinion. :)

I usually use UDs ozone (clear) with heroine and nyx's hot red with Russian red.

I use Kiss Me Quick with Russian Red & Magenta, Nightmoth or Currant with Heroine depending on the look I'm going for. As for the primer, I love it. It helps to hydrate your lips & keep bold colors like those from feathering. Just using lip balm is going to make for a slippery application of your liner & it won't hold your lipstick as well. You'll have to reapply a lot more. Hope that helps.

I go for MAC magenta lip pencil for heroine. Russian red...MAC pencil in cherry or sometimes I just grab my NYX pencil in red. The lip primer is OK but truly works best with MAC lippies. So if you only wear MAC lipsticks and nothing else it might be a worthy buy other than that I don't see it as a must buy.
