I am on a search for the perfect mascara I need one that is TRULY WATERPROOF non smudging and non flaking that last through the day. I do have my favorites but I just want to know if there is any I may have over looked or haven't heard of.

When I used to wear waterproof, I swore by Lancome waterproof. There is also Kiss Me mascara is will DEFINITELY NOT SMUDGE. It comes off in little tubes when you remove it. You think you're rinsing off your lashes, but its only the "tubes" of mascara that surrounded your lashes. The only thing about this mascara, its not the best volumizer. You can find it at Sephora.

Lemme just say that I LOVE mascara, if I had to chose one beauty product I would chose mascara.

First off, your going to wanna buy a mascara that doesn't clump or get flaky. I recommend anything by maybelline. They have SO many different types of mascaras that give you different results. I don't recommend anything from mac however because I find there mascaras to be really clumpy, but the pigments are great!

Secondly, your going to wanna buy a waterproof mascara. Almost anyone will do honestly. I've never had a problem with waterproof mascaras and they tend to stay on for a long time. Maybe you rub your eyes too much or maybe your eyelids are oily. Try putting some loose powder on them before applying mascara to prevent oils from making your mascara smudge after a certain period of time.

Third. An eyelash curler is a must!! It makes your lashes sooo big and long and they are just amazing. Be sure to hold the lash curler on each eye for about 10 seconds to really hold the curl. A bit of clear mascara before curling helps them to stay.

Forth. How to apply the mascara.
For volume: curl your lashes then apply two-three coats of a black mascara that has a wide wand. Ones with big ends are really good at creating more volume because they get right into every single lash.

For length- curl lashes twice then apply a black mascara. The amout of coats is up to you. A long, thin wand with a smaller tip is best for getting nice long lashes.

For both volume and length- put both of those steps together.

As for clumps, make sure you don't keep reapplying your mascara throughout the day. Mascara doesn't need to be reapplied. If your lashes need a boost, bring your lash curler and use that instead! It will make your lashes look freshly done again!

Hope this helps:) xoxo

I truly recommend a lash primer before you apply your mascara. I like Lancôme Cils Booster XL, and over top I layer Maybelline Lash Stiletto Waterproof. It's a great combination, I wore it and sobbed my eyes out and nothing happened.

I've tried like 80% drugs store mascaras haha. And every single one from maybelline and I always get waterproof and I don't rub my eyes or have oily lids and I always curl my lashes I'm just a perfectionist :) I've never tried a lash primer. ya have the classic x3 by maybelline it last all day in the summer heat and I can swim in it. and I've used the lash blast it's the best covergirl one I've never got any high end brands btw but I will definitely keep all of your Suggestions in mind thank you all :)

As for non smudging, a tubing mascara will really help. They're are plenty of brands (high end and drugstore) that make tubing mascaras. It basically "tubes" your lashes vs painting them that way no matter how oily your skin is it won't smudge off onto skin. You can buy them in a waterproof formula as well.
