You should use a good quality topcoat like Rimmel or Maxfactor and a good nail polish. Cheaper brands tend to chip easier so stick to O.P.I polishes. I find Miss Sporty a good, but cheaper brand.

BUTTER LONDON makes the BEST topcoat I have ever tried!!! And I tried a LOT!!!! I have like 200 bottles of polish and this is my FAV!!!!! Also...... U can buy a home gel kit, and after ur nails dry, put a layer of clear gel on top!!!!!!!!!!! This will be your claim to fame!!! You'll be hooked on this little trick!!! 😉

invest in a gel polish system! I'm currently using Sensationail and I love it. It's affordable and my polish has lasted 3 weeks :-D

I've started using CND shellac I get it done in a salon but it really lasts and helps my nails they seem 2 grow better and feel stronger, main thing is dont pick it off remove it properly as it will damage nails on toes they last as or ild say better than minx :-)

Paint a horizontal strip across the top of each nail it really works! Also a top coat isn't a bad idea

I use Nail Life's Gripper. It's an adhesive base coat that you can get from Sally's. You wait a few seconds after applying to get tacky and then paint your nails as usual.

Buff your nails so the polish gets grip, my nail varnish says on almost a week! :) xox

susie has a point... glitter polish is hard to get off, lol! i imagine that would keep polish on better, plus the glitter makes chips and dings less noticeable.
