Last night I made a thread asking for critique on my first colorful/dramatic eyeshadow look. Today I tried fixing what you wonderful ladies said could use some work, but I'm still not sure that I'm achieving the look. Any new tips? The first picture is last nights look, and the ones after that are today's second try.

Also, this is purely the eyeshadow look, I hadn't put on mascara or liner yet. (:

Not bad at all! I would work on blending so there isn't a harsh line in the crease and on the lid where the colors meet. Make sure to clean all the extra shadow up too. And don't forget a browbone highlight! Lastly if you were wearing this out, I would suggest some dramatic falsies to bring even more drama to the look. Overall, really good improvements!
Good luck 💋

Blend a bit more and I would add some more teal to make it 'peacocky' but you have most of the colors down.

What brushes are you using to apply the eyeshadows with?
It still need some blending, it's a bit harsh, if you're having trouble blending what I like to do before I start applying eyeshadows is get my bronzer colour, or any neutral you like, and deepen the crease with it first and blend that upwards and out and then go in with my other colours, I find that it makes it transition so much easier.
I hope this helped :) x

Thanks! And &Caitriona, I think part of the reason I'm having trouble blending is because I'm using these thick eyeshadow crayons for the purple and teal, since those are the only eyeshadow colored eyeshadows I have. (: when I try to blend them with a brush, they don't budge. Which is good since I know the staying power should be great, but not so good since I can't blend it out. I'll probably go and pick up a colorful Wet&Wild's palette that has some purples, blues, and greens in it before Friday, when I plan to wear this look. Thanks for the tip, though!(:

Shauna; I love your look! The gold you worked in is gorgeous and the teal shadow you chose was perfect. (:

For the eyeshadow crayons, maybe try putting them on and blending them with your finger. I do this with my Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow and it works pretty well but you have to try and work fast until it dries

I think I'll try that next time, Shauna. I'm surprised at how pigmented and lasting these crayons are, considering they were extremely cheap and I didn't expect much from them, haha. Thanks again, though!(:

I agree with the more blending...the inner corner.color is great I'd switch that blue out with a blue green shadow for a more peacock look...here's some advice use a very light matte brown in your crease it will act as your guideline and transition color...also I'd start with the outer corner of the eye first...then the inner corner then the middle...

I'd put more blue. I have this wonderful blue brownish color. I'll get the name for you and you could buy it for your next peacock look. (:

Shauna; they're Jordana 12 hour made to last eyeshadow pencils. I'm pretty sure you can find them at Walgreens/CVS or maybe even Kmart. (:
