Put a white colour to your inner corner and your water line. Avoid black eyeshadow all over your lid.

Nude eyeliner in the waterline, curling your lashes, concentrating mascara in the middle of your lashes (this makes them look rounder and bigger, whereas flared lashes give a more almond eyed effect), highlighting the inner corners, using lighter colors in general (but I'd understand if you didn't want to do that), if you line your lower lashline, do it a tiny bit below the actual lashline for an illusion of bigger eyes. Also, if you want an extra step to make your eyes stand out, pick a color opposite your eyes on the color wheel. That will make your eyes really pop.

White eyeliner on the waterline (I do this sometimes), nude/bright eyeshadow, higlighting the inner corner, curling your lashes (or using fake lashes).
And I have the feeling that my eyes look bigger if I wear only little dark eyeliner around my eyes (otherwise: dark eyeliner helps me bring out my eye colour, which is more important imo :)

It's okay, usually whatever color you think they are is what they are :) the specifics don't matter, if they're green then red toned colors will make them stand out.

White eyeliner is stupid unless your skin is white as paper, literally. I hear this everywhere, but you're honestly supposed to use the same color as your ski tone. Either nude or brown.

^^ and try not to draw attention to your lips, or try and make them look smaller. It'll make your eye look out of proportion/ bigger.

This is really late so you probably won't see it before you go out, but just for future reference I would put a light shimmery color on your lid, & a dark matte color on the outer third/outer corner. A light matte color on the brow bone and either a light matte or light shimmery (shimmery gives a more open look) in your tear duct. A light nude or white eyeliner on your waterline, with a dark matte eye shadow on your lower lash line. The longer your eyelashes are the more open/big your eyes will look. I'm no professional, but I hope I helped. (:
