My hair is about half way down my back but a bit shorter. I always wear it in a pony tail and it gets dry and poofy. It is also super thick. Thicker than what you are probably imagining. I want to get it cut so it can be like 2 or 3 inches down from my shoulders. I think it will be easier to manage, but I'm not really sure on what to do.

Yeah go ahead and cut it if your not really doing anything with it. Go get your hair cut at the salon though! Ask for them to thin it out, and do some layering in the front to frame your face!
