Hello hello :)... Soo I happen to believe I look not so great at all with any colored lip. I have a smaller mouth so I don't really achieve that o'so plump look, ever. AND to add to it I have braces now (2 months in) which makes me feel I should avoid color/gloss all together. Any tips or advice or has that ship sailed and sunk already.

I would say just start off with something light and slowly work your way up. I feel weird wearing colored gloss but starting slow has helped me a little.

Hi Emilia A., you sound like my soul sista lol. Almost no colour suits me, especially scared of dark ones! I only wear blush, coral, beige and coral reds as of now because no other colours suit me. I always use lipstick sparingly, it helps to get a sheer colour and saves my bum from looking like a 3 year old dabbling with their mum's lipstick. Also, try wearing tinted glosses and nude or verrrrry light coloured liquid lip colours to start with, when you're comfortable choosing which colours look good on you, go for a lipstick, hope this helps.

I'll give it a try. Gloss is doable but I swear it feels so awkward with the metal in my mouth. But then lipstick is not so sticky which is great. Ugh. I'll compromise somehow lol.

You can try a tinted balm. they're hydrating without being sticky and they're great for warming up to color :)

You can never go wrong with a pink lip don't be so self conscious whether your lips are full or not a dab of pink can bring life in your pout and make it look young and fresh...I really think any of these colors would look good on you.

I'd recommend a gloss or something subtle like the Revlon lip butters. They'll give you a bit of color and some shine and that can help make your lips look fuller. I've really been loving the Nyx mega shine lip glosses. They're affordable, aren't sticky, smell great and come in a good bit of different colors. The ones I'm loving lately are the shades "Perfect" which is a champagne color and "Ice Princess" which is a sparkly sheer pink. I also have heard a lot of really good things about the color called "Beige" which is actually a medium pink.

With smaller lips you can try using a lip liner as your color with a balm on top that usually for my clients with your similar problem and with a lip pencil you can use a brush or finger to blend it to a softer shade if needed. you can also do that with a lip stick only apply a little to the center of your lip and blend it outward.also for those really afraid of color babylips by maybellineare wonderful they are lightly tinted and feel so good hope this helps
