I've used this product before and it says that this dye can lighten dark hair. Unfortunately it only colored my roots and some patches on my hair.(box dyed my hair two months ago)
Well, I'm going to try again and this time I'm going to use color remover and then do the normal process of what I did last time. Do you think that it would actually dye my whole hair this time instead of my roots? I really do not feel like wasting money at a professional place.
What color remover would you recommend as well?
Thank you for reading!

I used it.
I use to boxes with a 30 developer.the first time the color wasnt so vibrant it was more of a cherry coke color but still really nice, the second time came out a gorgeous reddish. everytime you use that it lightens your hair.
as for a color remover soorry I can't help eith that.

You will have to bleach it, I just went through that yesterday it was a pain to bleach it and then dye it. But I think it's worth it because you only do it one time with box dye and no bleach it's dying it over and over again. Do all the hair. I buy my hair dye from sallys and the ladys who work there will tell you what they recommend.

I just used a 30 developer and my hair was really dark brown. I did have to do it twice to consecutive days to get it vibrant. also, I didn't have to bleach my hair.

It lifted your new growth cause its new, virgin hair. and you mentioned you colored your hair a couple of months ago so the colored parts won't lift. Color doesn't lift color:/

Box color also contains high ammonia. I would reccomend getting it done by a Stylist.

No it won't that happend to my hair with that same color and I used the color removal prior to the color. You will need to frost it it's healthier than bleach and won't fry your hair I literally had to by a box called splat because it came with bleach and bleached my hair that way and got it the color I wanted. Now I did repurchase the magenta bicolor because splat is very cheap and doesn't last so I need to touch up my red but if your going from dark to red just frost it.

It's another way to lighten your hair it's not as damaging as bleach.

I think if I can remember correctly you can get a frosting kit at a drugstore and my mom frosted my hair before in 5th grade so it's not as damaging as bleach I'll try to look for it on walmar.com so you can see it.
