I just purchased this concealer because I've been wanting it for awhile, but I'm afraid to say I'm a little disappointed? I think it made my undereye area look cakey and wrinkley...any comments/complaints?

(I'm so happy you guys can see this post, because none of my things have been posting lately...arg) but I'm glad it's not just me who's disappointed! Can you return stuff to MAC once you've tried it? For $19, I'd return it and keep using my drugstore concealer lol.

I love pro longwear. Have you used a good primer and moisturized you under eyes properly? It works really well IMO.

Well I put it on after using the MAC matchmaster foundation. I used my finger tip instead of s brush, but I've seen people do that in videos, so I'm not sure that was the problem... : (

With any concealer its vital to use a moisturizing eye cream so it helps plump up the skin as the undereye area is quite thin and with that comes possible dryness. Put on any concealer on dry undereye and you're going to get that unsightly look. Sometimes it could just be the formula not working out on your skin regardless of what you do. I tried the same concealer and I found it irritating on my skin and the coverage was nothing like my Bobbi Brown or NYX concealers.

I'll try it again before making a final decision...I was just surprised it was so temperamental. I mean, my maybelline cover stick goes on easier, so...I don't know. Just not what I expected!

Also work with a tiny amount at a time and build up as you see fit. ;)

When I use it I make sure my eyes/under eye area are well moisturized and then I do a half pump so don't push the pump down fully. I then put it on my fingers and dab it under my eyes. I normally start to blend it out with a brush or sometimes a beauty blender but then towards the end I use my fingers and dab then set with a powder. Just cos you've used it once don't give up girly, try and try again :-)

Thanks Bronwyn! I'm inspired to give it another go...maybe I'll use a small concealer brush close to the bottom lash line...I think that's where I had the most trouble. I'll keep you posted!
