Making sure it is 100% dry before you straighten will help also.

I use Garnier Fructis Straight Perfecter. It's also a heat protectant.

Any heat protectant will TOTALLY help like the ladies have stated, also if you use the Living Proof- Style Extender you'll definitely get a longer look with your hair :), hope this helps!! <3

Yes heat protectants are a must! Not only do they usually help your hair stay strait but they protect against damage! Pureology has a blow dry cream that works well (however I also like the redken that Kimberly mentioned)

Heat protectant!!!!!!! What it does is it holds the heat in your hair longer to keep it straighter. Remember to NOT put your flat iron to 300 or something cause you'll fry the hell out of it. Of course unless you have ethnic hair. Also check into a serum. I personally like Paul Mitchell's super skinny serum, but if you have fine hair it'll be greasy!

It could also be the straightener itself that makes your hair frizz up. I used my friends straightener recently because I left mine at home. when I use mine, my hair stays straight/smooth till my next shower. using my friends, my hair became frizzy and a mess soon after.

I had trouble with this problem too!! When I would straighten my hair like after a half hour it would be wicked poofy!! So I was over at a friends house and we were getting ready and she straighten my hair and she cleaned the straigtened and used heat protectant and it stayed strait ALL DAY!!!!! :)

Try either Alterna Bamboo's Anti-Frizz styling lotion OR Bumble & Bumble's Straight Balm when wet. Blow dry with a paddle brush or a very wide round brush for a little lift (the wider the barrel, the straighter the hair). When completely dry spray with Alterna's Perfect Iron spray and flat iron. It will stay straight for days!
