Honestly it took me forever! cut as much as you can off, and with the rest I like mixing coconut oil and conditioner and applying it to my hair. use a sulfate free shampoo and try to stay away from heat! good luck, heat damage sucks.

I got mine cut, make sure to use heat protectant and I would use a leave in conditioner after your shower and coconut oil right before you go to bed.
