So I'm 14 and never really wear makeup but I'm just wondering what the best way is to do eyeliner?

For a very subtle look you can use a brown pencil liner :) and then for a more exaggerated look you can use a black pencil liner. a black pencil is also good for helping you to start with liquid liner. you can use the pencil as a "stencil" or outline almost and then go over it with liquid. you can also use a nude liner to open up your eyes by using it on the bottom waterline.

Also what Jacqlyn said, youtube is a great place for tutorials.

Haha its okay. your waterline is just above where your lower lashes are. you know when you pull down your eye and there's that pinkish band/line and its a smidge watery? (best way I can describe it) thats your water line. you have one on your top lid too but you would generally use a brown or black for that and thats called "tightlining".

Honestly, for a beginner, I would just line your top water & lash line. it helps open up the eyes & make them look bigger. I would wear mascara too, if you aren't already. wearing liner without mascara looks.. odd. I personally wouldn't bother lining your lower lashes, but that's up to you.

Well,I think you should line your waterline with a beige-pinkish colour to make your eyes appear larger and more awake,a bit of brown eyeliner smudged on your top lashline, mascara and some highlight under the brow and in the inner tearduct (if that is how you spell it) :)

If you're just getting into doing your makeup, I recommend starting with those felt tip eyeliners. They're so simple to use- seriously, you can just kind of stamp them on and it'll look great- and many different brands carry them. Personally, I use black gel liner with a bent eyeliner brush for the most part because I find it to be easier to work with. Don't forget that you can experiment with colorful eyeliners too! They look great on the lower lash line for a quick and easy pop of color. :) If you're going to attempt to do winged eyeliner make sure you practice a lot before you wear it out - it never comes out perfect on your first try. Have fun playing around with different eyeliner looks! :)

I would suggest just doing top eyeliner with a little cat eye and then black tightline your upper water line and if you want to define your eyes a little more than do a black pencil liner on the outer parts of your bottom water line.
