I have leg scares from my childhood. I used coco butter & aloe vera gel, which helped fade them but now those products aren't effective. The scares aren't horrible but they are still visible. Does anyone have suggestions on products that can fade/remove them?

Try bio oil :) it's made for stretch marks and to help fade the appearance of dark circles/scars :)

I agree I had a scar on my face from when I was a child and it faded the scar but you must apply it generously as it takes time to fade it :)

If the scar is very light and barely noticeable you can easily get rid of them by exfoliating at least twice a week (the skin on your leg is tougher and less sensitive than your face so exfoliating daily is also safe). I found a paste of baking soda and water works the best and is the easiest. Sugar scrubs and more granulated exfoliaters take longer. Exfoliating removes dead skin but when you over exfoliate you remove the first layer (kinda like a dermabrasion on your leg) and faded scars tend to only be on the epidermis (top layer) when you exfoliate your skin grows back - scarless :) just make sure to skip exfoliating everyweek so you allow the skin to regrow. ie. exfoliate for times this week, none the next, four times the week after :) hope this helps!

I personally saw a difference with Soap & Glory's Butter Yourself body butter. It has alpha hydroxy acids in it and it really seemed to help lighten a lot of the scars I had from bug bites. They were very dark and red and the body butter made them a lot less noticeable. I'm not sure how effective it would be on older scars but if you happen to ever need a body butter I would give it a try. I really like the scent and it isn't greasy either.

You can never really permanently get rid of old scars. Try Mederma or Coconut Oil. Coconut Oil has helped me a lot, bio oil did nothing for me.

Bio oil or vitamin e, which is what bio oil essentially is.
