Is ben nye banana powder suitable for dark skintone? I'm nc 45.

Lexi K.
It will look perfect on your skin :) I think it's not as suitable for people with pale skin because it's so yellow, but it looks amazing on tan and darker skin.

Yes I use it on myself and people darker than
me but only on the highlights not the whole face they have Ben Nye powder in other deeper shades if you want a setting powder for your entire face or just the translucent one

I'm actually super pale and I've never had an issue with it looking too yellow! I think it just depends, but it definitely does look even better on darker skin tones

Remember you can also mix powders.
I'm a caramel complexion with warm undertones. I wanna buy the powder but don't want to come out looking like a ghost.
I would Def only use it to highlight

Lol can I ask you some skin questions traci? I have no idea how to take care of my skin what steps to take what products to use in other words I don't know nothing lol and I was wondering if you can help me? I'm trying to prevent wrinkles, I think my skin is normal, it doesn't get dry and I don't have huge pores I usually just get oily around my nose and sometimes forehead lol like I said I don't know squat lol.

I apparently live under a rock! When I read the title, all I kept hearing in my head was "Ben Nye, The Science Guy" from an old tv series. I googled the powder and saw there's a whole site devoted to beauty/make up! Wow! I'm learning sooo much here!

Ladies, I'm wondering if Anastasia contouring Kit color banana would be in a sense like Ben Nye banana powder.Does anyone know? I'm curious.

Ms L.
Alma M. I have both and I like the Ben Nye a little better, it's more finely milled but the Anastasia banana color seems to brighten up my eye area more. I love both and I mix them sometimes to set my under eyes.

I actually had this same question! I'm doing a few girls makeup next weekend and they are all African American. I use banana powder on myself and was wondering if it would work to set their concealer or if it would look funny. Yay! Great post!
