I use the cleaner that bare minerals sells. Smells awesome and keeps my brushes super soft. But you can also mix some dish soap and olive oil together to make your own cleaner.

Thank you all for sharing! The vinegar, dish soap, and warm water worked best! I have a white tipped flat top kabuki from sigma, and it was BROWN. Now it's back to white silkiness!

Usually with baby shampoo, but when I need a quick clean and dry I use Cinema Secrets brush cleaner. Oh and sephora brush cleaner. Both inexpensive from amazon.com.
