I'm awful at cleaning my brushes, and I just want something simple that I can do in my dorm room (no olive oil or messy things like that). Thoughts? Other suggestions? Something better? Help!

Honestly baby shampoo has saved me soooo much time. And money! I used to buy expensive brush cleaner but the baby shampoo works even better! It's super quick. Just wash in the sink, and let them air dry!

I thought about baby shampoo and even bought some but then thought baby shampoos have a lot of sulfates so would that be bad in the long run?!?

Agree with Erin!

Well, Magaly, the reason sulfates are bad for our hair is because they strip it of natural oils. I don't think brushes would have that problem :)

I use baby shampoo and when its stubborn I use a brush cleaner I normally use for my painting brushes. The labels missing but if you are interested I could find the name. Basically you get your brush wet and swirl the bristles on the cleaning bar. Then you massage it a little and rinse it all out. A lot easier than soap and stuff. Its very good for your brushes and won't destroy the bristles (I use this on my camel and mink hair paint brushes so its good for makeup ones too)

Thanks Mackenzi, I'm not sure if that's right for me just because I have a really small dorm room and 3 roommates, something a bit simpler they won't use as soap for themselves, you know? Does that make any sense at all? Lol.
