I just spent 126.00 dollars and I returned a few things and bought a few more things on top of my returns. I had my 11 year old with me.I have not been treated like this before they kept popping up every where I went.I told them no thank you I'm fine.I felt like they thought I was going to steal something.when I first went in.I went straight to the register counter and explained I had smashbox return and Versace cologne return.she told me to go look and get what I wanted. when I was ready I had to explain to 2 of the girls that I purchased the cologne for my husband at christmas so it was on my account and the smashbox was on my daughters she ordered it on line. I really felt like they thought I stole it!.
there were 6 sephora sample bags with nice samples she gave me 2 of these samples same mouisturizer samples. I spend a lot of money in s ephora I'm a vib the second highest one or what ever we are called. last time I went and spent a 100 and I got one sample.
I've never had them literally follow me around. I'm so upset

Ulta is getting a new reward system next mo but they follow you just as much. I usually ask for samples of what I want coz they don't ever give me squat. I'm vib as well. It looks like you have some fun stuff! Enjoy!! Forget them haters and apply makeup!

Christy, I will encourage you to write a Google review explaining what happened in (constructive feedback always helps)...that's what I do to vent out my anger!!

Contact corporate via email documenting how you were treated. I've done that once before with my local Sephora and they changed their tune with a quickness. My situation was very similar but the girl who handled my transaction actually threw down the stuff I was buying thus shattering a few eyeshadows in the process. The mrg wrote me email apologizing and sent me a ton load of samples. Plus I think the girl was let go because I never saw her again after that. Corporate funnels the complaints to the offending store management. Its worth a try.

I've had nothing but negative experiences with Sephora, excluding online and the stores in JCPenney. I'm 19 and look young, I understand this, but there is no need for 3 associates to follow me around and watch as I'm swatching lippies. I applied at sephora for seasonal hire, and was told by the woman I interviewed with I didnt have "the right look". Unbelievably unprofessional. Anyhow. Shelley is right, contact corporate. I probably should have done the same.

Wow I'm sorry that you were put through that. My husband and I were in big lots once and were watched like hawks. It was weird. But it looks like you got some pretty nice stuff so you go gf.

I am going to email corporate.this is not one of the big ones up north near D.C. I am so against stealing and to be followed around. I wish I had my daughters email because I would have had them look it up where she did purchase it on line.I didn't even go down the smashbox isle. I had to keep telling my daughter she was not getting the 26.00 hot pink Nars lipstick lol. I have like 800 rewards points that should have told them I don't steal.my husband knew I was upset when I got in the truck.he was like when I go in with you they are always nice to you. I was like I know right! I said I've never had them make me feel like they just did.

I forgot too she didn't even ask me if I wanted to use my rewards points for the super sample you can get with your rewards.

Rudeness is not a good quality to have working at places like that.

Definitely send an email. In November I sent an email to corporate at Ulta because an advertised free sample size product with purchase was not in stock at my local store and they sent me a gift card with enough on it to purchase the full size product. It could be worth your time.

If you want ask your daughters order confirmation email that she got after the order and just mention the order no in your email to corporate...that should be enough proof for them...and defntly email them :)

@Haley...the mrg told you in an interview you didn't have "the right look"!? That is discriminatory. :(

Haley that was very unprofessional and very rude of them to say to you. I'm sorry you had to deal with that. I think you're gorgeous =) screw em, you're too good for them anyway

@shelley yes! Straight up discrimination, she was so unprofessional and incredibly rude, I haven't been back since
@Michele thank you girl, you are lovely.

Ya I know some busted ass ppl working at sephora lol. Most of the ppl that work at sephora are not even professionally trained. (I know a lot of ppl who work there, they do some training in house) They work for a low hourly and gratis. Don't let them intimidate you. Their job is to help you not act like a biotch! Write them letters girls. And Haley you are way more attractive then many ppl who work there. I'm sure.

I agree with Mary. Even with having a young looking face (which I really happen to like), you are a doll! Don't think you have to make yourself look older (I don't know if you do or not). It's a blessing =) just think, when you're my age you'll look so much younger =) females are always the meanest and rudest to other females, bc it's like it's a competition. You have to deal with it in school and when you get out into the real world. It's very sad but it's true. If us females would be kinder and more helpful with our knowledge and just towards each other in a general sense, we'd be better off and maybe some of these girls who get bullied so bad online wouldn't (and wouldn't kill themselves). Sorry went off on a tangent lol.

That's right Michele! I use to be super intimidated by sephora before I went to beauty school and knew ppl in the industry and at sephora.

Something similar happened to me!! The next sephora near me is like 20 mnts away so I just stopped going there I'd rather drive to another one where I am treated like a valuable costumer!!

I just emailed I also just realised she never asked for my info except my drivers license. I just looked on Sephora I didnt get any Beauty Insider points for what I bought today.

Omg girl:( I'm so sorry you had such a bad experience. @Mary you are totally right they have no reason our right to treat customers like this, its an issue with the beauty industry and its really ugly.

Also thank you Mary and Michele you ladies are so sweet and lovely.

I'd complain about that too. A Good company will take care of the problem and apologize to you. Let us know what happens please. I'm very interested in what corporate has to say.

I won't order from them again if this is how they are going to treat their customers and loyal customers at that. Those experiences you ladies are having is making the company look bad in my eyes.
