Hello everyone! I need some advice on how to cover some old ance scars! It seems no matter how much makeup I pile on that area, I can't get them to not show through. I've watched videos on youtube but no luck. Plus once my makeup is set they really show. Any tips? I've attached a picture of what they look like without makeup. It's a dark picture but they are still visible. Thank you in advance.

You should try the 'yes to grape fruit' line. It's purpose is to Brighten!

Just exfoliate daily. Use a light daily scrub 2x/ a day (I use the Aveeno daily brightening scrub or my Giovanni detox scrub). And a coarser scrub every other night(I use st. Ives apricot scrub or shea moisture black soap acne scrub). I also use a face brush. It's lightened my scars dramatically. Well technically it didn't lighten it. You're just getting rid of the damaging layers of skin.

Try a peach colored concealer though. They cancel out the darkness.

Nala-I do use a exfoliater but it is very light so I should try one a bit heavier in that area. And I will try the peach because I only use one thats the same as my skin tone.

If they're red (can't really see in the picture) you can cancel them out with green.

I agree, try a peach or yellow toned concealer. As for the scars, try putting coconut oil on it twice a day. I did that to the scars on my legs and they have faded dramatically in just a couple months.

The only concealers that I've used that are strong enough to cover my acne and acne scarring are Makeup Forever's full cover waterproof concealer and Urban Decay's 24/7 concealer. Hope that helps :)

I'd strongly recommend dermablend or illamasqua range of concealer and foundations they cater to a broad spectrum of skin complexions and cover is so good it's used to disguise tatoos on photo shoots. hope it helps.
