If you braid your hair everyday does it make your hair grow and prevent breakage?

If your doing briads like this yyou leave it in for a couple of weeks I had them and they made my hair grow a couple of inches but I'm not sure if your hair will be the same.

Tori that's wrong it depends on how they are braided... look at locks they start out as briads... whenever I wear them they always makes my hair grow.

Braids do not make your hair doesn't matter in what form, its an illusion since your hair is shorter when its braided.

Also it depends on your hair type.

I would think it DOES help. Usually we put in products, use chemicals or apply heat to our hair. These are things we wouldn't do while it's braided. So it gives your hair somewhat of a "break" from your everyday routine and avoids breakage from brushing and styling it. So I'm not sure if it grows FASTER or it's just that you're not interrupting the growth process so you may notice better growth. Just a guess. :)

Nothing makes your hair grow faster but braiding it helps prevent breakage. I have no split ends because I braid my hair every night.

Prenatal vitamins do, Diana! They aren't just for the pregggeeerrrs lol:) I use them they not only give me just about all the vitamins I need they also give me energy longer and healthier nails and make your hair grow:)

For straight European hair I'd say add bit of argon oil and put your hair in two or four plaits at night and that should help you retain length. The less you do to your hair the more itll grow, that's why braids work for afro hair. So there's no need for any extra vitamins (: x

Yes, braids help your hair to grow (Y). Braids are a great protective style. When you have them in you barely manipulate your hair which allows it to grow; however, if you keep it for two long it'll pull out your hair, and stress your roots. In addition, you still need to moisturize, wash, and take care of your hair while braided.

@ashley when I was pregnant I took prenatal vitamins and it just made my hair stronger not exactly longer but my hair naturally grows fast so it's just genetics.
