I have just below shoulder length fine hair and I struggle with curling it- it always looks too curled if that makes sense and not the soft curls you see on others! Any recommendations on how? Straightners or wand etc.would be great :)

I have a her-styler wand and when I was a beginner, I used to face this same problem. The trick is to take medium thick pieces of hair and arrange it in slanting strands across the wand, not make circles of hair around it. Then release the strands gently and spray a flexible hold product, hope this helps.

Use a 1 inch curling wand (or just wrap your hair around a regular curling iron.. That's what I do lol) and wrap away from your face. Wait for your hair to cool down a little then gently run your fingers or a comb through your hair to soften them up
