I'm getting my hair done in a couple hours and I still don't know what to do with it. I'm for sure going to be cutting about 5 inches off. Long hair is annoying lol.

I would not cut that hair! lol

It can take like hours upon hours and a really good colorist to not get a brassy color when lifting color from dark hair. You'd better going to golden or red of highlighting, lighting, or ombre, etc.

I ended up getting a full head of highlights and cutting 4-5 inches. Thinner ones up top and really chunky ones on bottom to give an ombré kind of effect still(even tho the pic doesn't show it so well). I'm going to gradually go lighter.
