I've never tried a high end foundation before but I want to try one. I have oily and veryyy sensitive skin. I'm looking for something with light and buildable coverage. I currently use L'Oreal True Match and I love the coverage so I want something similar, and I also want something mattifying. What are your suggestions?

Tarte Amazonian Clay may be a good choice for sensitive skin. Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24hr and Estee Lauder double wear are both great for oily skin and look amazing but I'm not sure if they would irritate your skin or not.

I have super sensitive skin and the only foundation that doesn't burn my skin is tartes Amazonian foundation. It's super build able with coverage and doesn't cake up easily, on my super dry winter skin it doesn't cake up. It's matte and lasts a long time. I'd get a sample from sephora and try it. You won't be disappointed :)

Hourglass immaculate foundation. I also have oily skin and it seriously keeps me matte all day!

I also have very oily skin, and I'm prone to breakouts whenever I try a new foundation. But one foundation that works for is is the Kat Von d one, it's medium to full coverage, a little goes a long way. I did not break out the first time I tried it, and it kept my skin looking matte longer than any other that I tried, it's 35$. I Another one that I heard good reviews on is the makeup forever matte velvet but it's more expensive.

Thank you everyone! I was thinking about trying out the Tarte and Hourglass foundation. I'm looking for a light buildable coverage. Do those 2 brands have that type of coverage?

The Tarte 12 Hr Amazonian Clay full coverage is indeed full coverage, but can be blended out with a damp sponge. You might want to try their 12 hr BB cream/primer. It gives light coverage, yet I found I could build up where I needed more. It was my "go to" for the summer. I bought it in July, with the brush, and I'm just finishing my tube up now.

One of my twenty something co-workers has had success with MUFE's Face & Body. She broke out with Tarte and even worse with Bare Minerals. Looks like you've gotten a lot of suggestions for some great products to try.

Thank you do much Tina! Yeah my skin isn't acne prone or anything so I don't like to put a lot of heavy makeup on my skin if I don't have to. I just like something that evens out my skin tone from redness and covers up random breakouts. I've tried bb creams before but I found that they were always way too greasy on my skin and most provided me with extremely light coverage which I didn't like either.
I've always wanted to try MUFE foundation, I've been recommended that a lot from beauty consultants at Sephora. They always recommend I try thr Mat Velvet + but I'm pretty sure it's medium coverage.
I've heard great things about Hourglass and I'm currently using their primer but I'm not highly impressed with it, and I think their products are wayyy too overpriced and I don't want to be spending $64 +tax on a foundation lol

I loooved the Mat Velvet on me. It was definitely medium to full coverage (at least to my amateur eyes) and had decent staying power (even before I learned about primers); however, it seemed my shade was always unavailable. Their HD always seemed to make me have an odd pink undertone.

My friend really likes the Face & Body. It provides light coverage, has a nice natural finish and she looks like she has a healthy glow. Her skin is more combo. Hope some of my ramblings can actually help! LOL!

Let us know what you try and what finally works, please!!
