Apply a lip balm before lipstick

i used to have the same problem.
apply a lip balm before hand, what i find works for me is using a nude lip liner and applying it on your entire lips. then applying the nude lipstick, try applying a soft lip gloss after !

Using a lip balm before hand Definatley helps the best one is something like the EOS balms as they're not shiny or sticky they make a really great base for lipstick

Make sure you exfoliate about once a week and always moisturize your lips. A lip brush helps apply lip color smoothly. I do these things and always get compliments.

try a lip scrub then EOS lip balm a thin layer, blot then a thin layer of lip primer. use a lip liner to fill in lips completely then apply lipstick with a lip brush and blot well. you may be using too much? what lipsticks have you tried? maybe you need a smoother formula?

Deep condition at night, try Clinique's repair wear lip balm. I've put that on every night and my lips are no longer chapped or irritated ad easily. Apply a lip liner all over your lip and it will help hold the lipstick better. Try different brands too!! It could be the brand is poorly formulated. Also try lip spackle or a thicker concealer under your lipstick.
