I hardly ever wear eyeshadow, mainly due to the fact that I don't know how to apply it well, but I really want to try out some neutral palettes. I already know about the Naked palettes, I'm just not sure if it's good for beginners...what other palettes would you suggest?

For beginners, I recommend nyx, physicians formula, and wet n wild. They're all fairly inexpensive :)

Honestly, they aren't the best starter palettes. This is just my personal thoughts. But I found that you have to use primer with theses palettes and I have to use other colors from other palettes because other wise it looks kind of dull. However I NEVER talk anyone from trying things out so if you have an ulta or sephora or any makeup place that sells them have them put some on you and give you tips! They are very awesome palettes and I recommend basics. But have a professional put some on and see if you like it :)

Check out BH Cosmetics palettes. They're all pretty cheap, and they come in sizes and colors like the 88 Neutral Palette, the 28 Neutral Palette, the 88 Shimmer Palette etc. available on line, they almost always have sales, so you can get them for $15. They're great quality shadows, as well; extremely smooth and pigmented.

Also if you are looking for high end. Then there are tons of other neutral palettes that are great! And I think ulta has some awesome beginners palettes and jazzmen suggested some good ones!

Make up Academy sells cheap palettes with good pigmentation and they have a dupe for the naked palette which is almost exactly the same!

I love my naked palettes and I would say I was a beginner when I bought my first one, but I watched lots of tutorials on youtube. You need to use a primer with them for sure I love Milani or Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin. If you are looking for a huge pallette I would suggest Coastal Scents or Bh Cosmetics. Elf is pretty good but I don't think they last long at all. Wet N' Wild has amazing shadows but use a primer with these too, but they are really good for the price.

I agree with what hannah said those are great palettes to start of with, you font want to buy and high end ones tight now cuz if you do all your going to do is throw the product away because your going to be taking it of and putting it on and $50 on just practice makes no sense in my opinion once you get the basics down of where to place it and blending then invest in a high end palette and its going to be easier to manage the colors and blend them, to me some of the best shadows out there are urban decay never over look urban decay eyeshadows lol... And always buy a primer either for high end or low end it makes a world of a difference, a good primer too me has been urban decay. Lorac, and too faced shadow insurance you can invest in a good primer as a beginner it will make life much easier for you

I agree with BH Cosmetics I would also try out ELF. their prices are super cheap so if you find you're not getting into it, it's not a huge waste. I got a 100 eyeshadow palette from ELF for about $10 & it was totally worth it. the shadow is a pretty decent quality as well.

I think the Naked palettes are good to start off with. They have so many neutral colours that you can mix and match. But if you want a cheaper version, get the NYX Nude on Nude Palette. It contains both colours from the Naked 1 and 2 palettes. The colours are practically the same and the colour payoff is good and it's only around $30 compared to $60 for each of the Naked palettes.

I have some costal scents, elf, bh eyeshadow palettes, etc.etc. I wanted them to start out with, and now I regret it. You'll get stressed out trying to work with them after awhile. I say go for the Ben nye neutral palette, or create one with Inglot or yabys eyeshadows. They're great quality, and last forever, you'll be much happier buying them, trust me.
