Hello all!
I live in Spain (am American) and do freelance work/have a beauty blog aimed at the Spanish market. I have organized a Makeup Party with my sister in law and about 10 of her friends so they can get to know me and hopefully use me for future events.
I am trying to organize the event so it's informative yet fun...I was thinking about using a model and doing two looks: Daytime and bringing that same look into a "Fiesta"/going out version. I was thinking even of having the girls practice what I´m teaching them on each other.
Do you guys have any advice for the "curriculum" or activities we can do?? If you have ever done anything like this, let me know how it went!!!
Love,
Sarah

I had a great makeup party recently where I chose a model from the group and demoed 1 thing for example I taught Smokey eyes, or contouring. but doing a whole look is a little too time consuming I found when the rest of the group is just sitting there. also I realized how little the avg person knows about makeup for example when I said the word contouring many guests didn't know what that meant so I guess its important to know your audience of possible ask them ahead of time what they would like to learn so you are prepared. I had my makeup collection on display so people could see some different products I did a raffle and gift bags with free samples customized to each guest. def leave time for q&a too. have fun!

You're so right! Such helpful tips! I will definitely have to put together something for little goodie bags and a big giveaway! What did the girls like learning the most?? Great idea about having the makeup on display as well! THANKS SO MUCH!!!

no prob. they loved learning how to do a Smokey eye and they really liked me telling them how I clean my brushes and showing some of my favorite products.
