I recently heard that castor oil is very beneficial for hair. I want my hair to grow fuller and thicker so would you recommend I get it? If you've used it, can you tell me what it has done to your hair. Thanks!!

It's a miracle! I use it only one week but I can tell my hair are softer and bit thicker. I also put some on my eyelashes, because they used to fall out, but now they don't. :) I totally recommend it! :)

I mix it with coconut oil, almond oil, & olive oil. One part each, 2 parts castor. It works miracles!

I use it as a base to include other oils as well. I don't apply it on my hair but instead use it as massage oil on my scalp and the mix eventually travels down my hair shaft. The only negative...the smell is not pleasing to the nose so adding a little essential oil to cancel out the yucky smell is ideal.

I haven't tried it personally but, have been meaning to try it soon. I hear the Jamaican black castor oil is the best.

My friend has. She said it worked but she said the smell was too over powering.

Castor Oil grabs the hair more firmly than other oils creating the illusion of fuller hair. I've never seen/read where it actually increases diameter of hair follicle. Those before and after pictures you see of a bald man after massaging it onto scalp are misleading as well because you could rub anything on the scalp, the rubbing can/n
may stimulate hair growth.

I use black jamaican castor oil no more than 2x a week. I can definitely tell my hair has thickened. I use it sparingly because it make my hair very greasy (ugh). I usually load it on my scalp a few hours before washing to allow it to penetrate. You need the pure completely unrefined version for the best effect.

No other oils I've used on my hair (coconut , olive , amla, other indian meditation? Oil for hair, Moroccan/argan) has worked as well as castor oil! But castor oil is so thick that it felt like a chore. The results are totally worth it. I originally brought it to help my eyebrows grow thicker but it didn't work so I used it all up on my hair. After shampooing my hair was insanely unfrizzly yet my roots felt lifted...I had a lot of volume. That was a huge win for me because I have really thick straight indian hair and constantly fighting with gravity for volume at the roots.
