Tehee. No, I'm 19. I won't be having kids for at least another 5 years. I should have said I won't let my daughters wear makeup... If and when I have daughters 😹

If the 12 year old is breaking out, maybe concealer on the spots. I don't think eyeliner is the best idea for a 12 year old because it does make them look more mature, I think mascara is okay it's it's a tiny bit. A clear mascara would be better in my opinion. Lip gloss is fine too. I don't think that's too much. A little clear mascara, concealer (maybe tinted moisturizer), and lip gloss is fine. I think instead putting skin care first is better. I mean I wanted to wear makeup really young because freckles and I hated mine. I wore concealer around 13 because I would get a spot once or so a week. Setting good habits like sun screen and moisturizing is a better idea:)

Not eyeliner it's too old for a 12 year old, mascara and lip gloss and good skin care as suggested already. Teach her about the beauty she has without make up first. There's make up to pretty and then there's make up to sexualise and I wouldn't encourage my daughter to use eyeliner till she is 14 at least - sorry

Hi everyone I notice these topics a lot and a lot of you are saying no don't let them do that it makes them look old or it will causes them issues in the future. However you don't think about how when they are older they will need to get a job and look presentable so practicing makeup now isn't bad. It's makeup it washes off. Also as a child who had bad skin and low self esteem I was bullied to no end, I went into some bad things that I still struggle with everyday. I'm not saying that makeup will give them all the self esteem but it will give them a shield to use because when you are called ugly with makeup on you can think it isn't you it's your makeup. I noticed a few,"what's wrong with society's" on this topic as well, if you don't like society than change it you aren't automatically excluded because you don't agree. Younger girls wear makeup (in my experience) because they are bullied or they find it fun. What is more wrong a young girl self harming from bullying and not feeling good about herself or wearing a full face of makeup? You may think that's extreme but I know from personal experiences that a little bit of makeup can bring a whole lot of self esteem.

Make up does not cause pores! Educate yourself on what pores are. You cannot create them. And eyeliner doesn't create black under the eyes. Those are eye bags. Make up doesn't stain the skin.

I wore makeup at 12, but that was because I wanted to because I really loved makeup, I didn't really want to cover anything or look older. I think makeup is just really fun to apply and learn new things about and shop for. I think people can wear makeup at whatever age (over like 9 though) as long as they know how to apply it.
