P.S. Please excuse my natural lashes! I was in a rush; my mascara takes forever to remove, and falsies take forever to apply.

For a first attempt this is actually really good!! My only critique is maybe add a little more liner to the top lash line to give it some more depth and blend the brown transition colour a little more to give it a smoother gradient effect. Good job though! My first smokey eye was a mess.

It's a little light for a smokey eye, next time pack the black onto your lids. Awesome blending though :)

Thanks Autumn, you're the sweetest :)
Chanel, I didn't even think of that, thanks :) Bryn, I'll definitely give that a try. I was so focused on the shadow that I didn't even think of applying liner on my top lash line.
Thanks Hannah! I'll definitely make it darker next time :)

I really like it Lizzy! it's a real good Smokey eye, it is a bit light, but I like that, kind of a sexy everyday look!

Think it needs a but more of a transition and blending and a bit darker but for your first try not bad at all

I like it! It's beautiful! (:
I'd put a (little more) highlighter in the innercorner of your eye, and under your eyebrow!
I also love your freckels, you're pretty!

Absolutely great! To perfect it here's some tips
-Make the darkey area darker and deeper
-Use a black pencil liner and smudge that in too
-Use some tape on the corner of your eye for a more cat eye and clean edge
But fantastic job, wouldn't of even thought that was your first try :)

Thank you guys so much :)
Alma, thanks for the picture, because along with Jacqueline's expert advice, I can definitely see where I went wrong. I've been working all weekend but will hopefully have some free time soon to practice and perfect my smokey eye.
Thanks again to everyone who helped xx
