I have combo skin, and am very acne prone, don't even risk using Mac. It.not only gave me horrible breakouts but it also gave me a rash that lasted for a while. And everything scarred, never buying from there again.

I would highly recommend the MUFE HD foundation. It looks completely natural and covers pretty well without looking fake.

That stinks, maybe try Rimmels new stay matte foundation? It's not a great as MUFE but its.still a pretty good foundation for $4.99, but it may be a tad heavy, but so it hasn't.broken me out. Hopefully it will be the same for you.

I'm acne prone and mac foundations/powders doesn't break me out.
I would try it out and see if it works for you, if not, return it. There are other great foundations out there for dry skin though.
I love loreal true match, you can try true match lumi since you're dry.
YSL has a great foundation for dry skin. I think it's called Le Teint Touche Eclat.
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation
These would be great for dry skin :)

Hello Jacqlyn,
I hope all is well.
You could definitely try the MAC foundations out, but I would really steer away anything that has a matte finish (due to your dry skin) and go for a foundation with a satin finish like the MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation. Like AShley said it is true that a lot of poeple have mentioned that mac foundations have broken them out. However, it really just depends on you trying them out for yourself. I say this, because I used to have cycstic acne and extremely oily skin, and wanted to venture into a MAC foundation about 4 years ago. When I was researching online about which MAC foundation would suit my skin better, there was a few reviews stating that it had broke some ladies skin out. However, I still purchased the foundation and I have never looked back since! I have never had a break out from any MAC foundation, whether it be studio fix fluid, Studio Sculpt foundation, Studio Tech foundation, their minalrized foundation! I really enjoy their coverage and their staying power. It really is just a matter of trail and error with your own skin and unfortunately nobody can be the judge on which foundation will suit you better, as everybody has different reactions.

If however, you are a little bit weery of purchasing a MAC foundation due to other poeple's comments, I highly reccomend the Clinque. They have foundations that are suitable for acne prone skin and for dry skin. They are an amazing brand. For your skin, I would highly reccomend the superbalanced foudnation. the URL is linked below. I hope my advice helped you Jacqlyn and good luck for your search of a perfect foundation!

I actually loved clinque foundation. I've only used the "even better" but it was lovely.

as for mac I also really wanted to try it. I bought studio sculpt. I have never had a problem with acne or breaking out from products. this did cause a few break outs for me. nothing horrible by any means just one or two spots on my face at a time. I did get sick of it and ended up not using the rest. but like lorna said you shouldn't completely write something off because it didn't work for someone elses skin. I feel a common misconception on here is if something worked for one persons oily or dry skin or whatever it will work on everyone with that skin types skin. if you're really interested pick up a sample before fully committing to see how your skin reacts.

If you have bad acne I reccomand Clinque. I think you should risk and try MAC, maybe it will be good f.

For you ( lol I posted before I finished) but try it only if you have enough money because I would definitely be sorry to buy something that doesn't work. On the other side I like Loreal true match. It doesn't make me break out and it has a great bottle. It has medium coverage so you decide. And if you are afraid of acne break outs you should try bb cream. I use L'oreal paris nude magique bb cream. :-)
