Hi everyone...I'm developing a lip treatment (similar to Aquaphor, in a squeeze tube, not a stick). I'm doing some research.
What do you like about this type of product?
what don't you like?
What is the most you would pay for a quality, higher end lip moisturizer?
***Any examples would be helpful!!

If it's higher end I want all natural ingredients or mostly natural. No petroleum, etc. I'm thinking along the lines of Fresh's Sugar Lip Treatment but in a squeeze tube but offered at a lower price point? That would be excellent. IMO the unnatural stuff just masks or makes the dryness worse. Whereas the natural seems to actually heal and moisturize.
Oh, VERY IMPORTANT! An option with a hint of color!

Hiii! Christopher, you're a godsend! I am really frustrated with the balm options I have and here is what I need:
1. I am an engineer and the work is pretty grilling, I need a balm that hydrates for atleast 6 hours.
2.I need not one balm but a day and night lip set, in the morning I have no time to run and apply chapstick, if I wear an overnight lip treatment I can combat the early work hours atleast.
3. I need it to be free of mineral oil and other petroleum products because like Bree said, they don't help the dryness at all.
3. I have sensitive, combination and acne prone skin, when lip balms bleed, they cause the skin in the immediate vicinity of my skin to break out, I don't know if such a balm is possible but I am excited about possibilities.
4. most girls would love a high performance balm which is matte and has a beige colour, all kinds of girls, geeky like me and otherwise, would agree to that.
I am currently using l'occitane's 100 percent shea butter because I haven't found a better alternative, it still breaks me out around the lips occasionally but my lips have been the happiest since this. If I can get atleast 2 of the above mentioned points in a balm, I would be ready to pay 30 to 40 dollars without flinching because one tube lasts atleast 2 months and if you get what you want, why not pay?
Good luck with this project!
