Yes try a red base. I know Sephora Collection has a red eyeshadow but I'm not sure how vibrant it is. Also NYX has those new Primal Colours and I know they have a red, try checking that out.

Makeup Geek has a gel eyeliner called "Poison" that is a nice red, you could maybe use as a base as well.

It turned out good! I see what you mean about the pinkish. it reminds me of mac relentlessly red lipstick but eye shadow form.

Yeah, I've tried the Nyx pencils, they don't work super well for me but I'll be careful. Thanks so much Jackie, I'll definitely look all of those up!
